GORHAM – Kali St. Germain had three goals to lead Gorham to an 8-1 victory over Westbrook in a season-opening SMAA girls’ soccer game Friday.

Kiersten Turner added a goal and a pair of assists for the Rams.

Westbrook goalie Samantha Russell had 20 saves.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, YARMOUTH 0: Melanie Vangel scored twice in the first five minutes and had another goal early in the second half to spark the Capers past the Clippers at Cape Elizabeth.

Lizzie Raftice also scored.

TRAIP ACADEMY 2, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Selena Lorrey scored on a direct kick in the 30th minute and Emily Hartley added a goal in the 60th minute as the Rangers shut out the Panthers at Yarmouth.

Katherine Volpe had an assist and Eileen Macomber earned the shutout.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Carla Tripp scored for the Raiders in the first half and Taylor Darnell answered for the Patriots in the second at Gray.

Maggie McConkey stopped 18 shots for Fryeburg Academy.

Sammie Wilkins had nine saves for Gray-New Gloucester.

NOBLE 2, BIDDEFORD 0: Olivia McDermith and Hannah Fields scored unassisted goals for the Knights against the Tigers at North Berwick.

Jessica Bickford stopped nine shots for the win. Marissa Morin made seven saves for Biddeford.

GREELY 9, WELLS 0: Sammi Toorish scored three goals as the Rangers dominated the Warriors at Wells.

Leah Young and Katelyn Graham each chipped in two assists.

Kaitlyn Tufts made 14 saves for Wells.

YORK 8, WAYNFLETE 0: Abby Goodrich and Ruby Cribby each had two goals and an assist to lead the Wildcats past the Flyers at Portland.

Kayla Swasey chipped in a goal and an assist. Nicci Heroux, Caitlin Kelly and Addie LaBonte also scored.

FALMOUTH 7, POLAND 0: Alex Bernier had three goals to help the Yachtsmen get past the Knights at Poland.

Caitlin Bucksbaum added two goals and Caroline Lucas made six saves for the shutout.

THORNTON ACADEMY 6, BONNY EAGLE 1: Camilla Olsson scored twice and had an assist as the Trojans beat the Scots at Saco.

Allie Coburn, Tori Daigle, Amanda Arnold and Allie Pettaway also scored for Thornton Academy.

Sam Campobasso scored for Bonny Eagle.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 5, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Amy Twohig had a goal and two assists to lead the Seagulls past the Hawks at Old Orchard Beach.

Abby Fucciani, Olivia Dubois, Abby Dubois and Kristy Merriman also scored.

Shelby Pellegrino made 14 saves for Sacopee Valley.

CAMDEN HILLS 4, WINSLOW 2: Kristina Alex had two goals and Lea Smith and Cailland Sweeting each scored once to lead the Windjammers over the Black Raiders at Winslow.

Lindsay Bumbalo had eight saves for Camden Hills.

MT. ARARAT 8, LEWISTON 0: Haley Michaud had three goals and Sydni Clark and Maddison Prescott each scored two as the Eagles defeated the Blue Devils at Topsham.

Christine Levesque also scored and Sonja Robert, Libby Ouellette, Sydni Clark, Haley Michaud and Zoe Bradshaw each added an assist.

Hannah Hauser had 10 saves for the shutout.

LAKE REGION 3, FREEPORT 2: Sydney Hancock and Jacqui Black each scored in the second half as the Lakers rallied past the Falcons at Naples.

Theresa Butler also scored for Lake Region. Jess Hench and Jocelyn Davee each had a goal for Freeport.

LISBON 1, MT. ABRAM 1: Katie Jordan scored from Brianna Daly in the second half as the Roadrunners rallied to tie the Greyhounds at Salem.

Brandi Storrman scored in the first half for Lisbon.

WISCASSET 2, CARRABEC 0: Maddy Wehrle and Maeze Carlson scored second-half goals as Wiscasset rallied past the Cobras at North Anson.

Sarah Hanley, Carlson and Shania Marr each had an assist, and Casey Cromwell made three saves to earn the shutout.

OCEANSIDE 2, MARANACOOK 0: Bethany Berry had a goal and an assist as the Mariners (1-0) defeated the Black Bears (0-1) at Readfield.

Jesse Veilleux also scored and Kendra Grover got the win with 17 saves.

OAK HILL 2, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Julie Morneault scored in the first half and Gabby Green in the second as the Raiders beat the Eagles at Wales.

Carly Erskine scored and Christina Tonry made 14 saves for Lincoln.


BOOTHBAY REGION 2, HALL-DALE 0: Alex Clarke and Sarah Caron each scored a goal to lead the Seahawks (1-0) over the Bulldogs (0-1) at Boothbay Harbor.

SKOWHEGAN 12, MT. ARARAT 0: Mikaela Michonski had five goals and Jessie Skillings scored four to lead Skowhegan past visiting Mt. Ararat.

Raven Demasi stopped 15 shots for Mt. Ararat.

FREEPORT 4, WAYNFLETE 0: Katie Turner scored three goals as the Falcons pulled away from the Flyers at Portland.

Kayla Thurlow scored off of an assist from Jenny Breau to give the Falcons a 2-0 halftime lead.

Kailina Mills had 18 saves for the Flyers.
