SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Garlic lovers are gathering in Southwest Harbor for the 13th annual Mount Desert Island Garlic Festival.
Hundreds of people are expected at today’s event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festival serves as a celebration of garlic, with vendors offering up garlic sausage, garlic brownies, garlic cornbread, garlic chili and other foods with and without garlic. There’ll also be music, a farmers market and pottery and jewelry vendors.
