BATH — Registration for the University of Maine System spring semester has begun at University College at Bath/Brunswick, 9 Park St. Spring semester courses begin in January.

Each semester, University College at Bath/Brunswick offers local access to hundreds of courses from the seven universities of the state’s university system. Courses are taught by faculty on-site, online and via interactive television (ITV) and videoconference.

At University College at Bath/Brunswick and at satellite sites in Wiscasset and Lisbon, students can take courses leading to associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in a variety of disciplines, including business administration, mental health and human services, computer information systems, library and information services, medical laboratory technology and others.

Shorter- term certificate programs also are available.

In addition to courses, University College at Bath/ Brunswick offers a full range of support services. Advisers provide career counseling and assist students with financial aid applications, course registrations, book orders and computer access.

Financial aid and scholarships are available for qualified students.

“Now is good time — before courses begin to fill — to prepare for the upcoming semester,” Dennis Unger, director of University College at Bath/ Brunswick, said in a release. “ We can help students select from a wide variety of courses that best fit their goals and schedules.”
