GORHAM – Heather LeBlanc scored 11 points, and Sanford survived a fourth-quarter comeback by Gorham to earn a 41-38 victory in a Southern Maine Activities Association girls’ basketball game Friday night.

Katelyn King chipped in nine points for the Redskins (3-0), who led 35-24 after three quarters.

Abby Hamilton scored 12 points and Lexi Merrifield added 10 for Gorham (0-3).

SCARBOROUGH 54, MARSHWOOD 48: Mary Redmond scored 12 points for the Red Storm (3-0), who rallied from a 13-2 first-quarter deficit to beat the Hawks (2-1) at South Berwick.

Scarborough cut it to 28-25 at the half, then pulled ahead with a 19-10 third-quarter run.

Jorden Mitchell scored 17 points for Marshwood. Nicole Lachance added 12.

THORNTON ACADEMY 53, BONNY EAGLE 43: Kaitlyn McCrum sank a basket to blunt Bonny Eagle’s rally, then hit three foul shots in the closing seconds as the Trojans (2-0) held off the Scots (1-2) in Standish.

Thornton led 34-23 at the half and 41-32 after three quarters. But the Scots rallied to within two before McCrum helped Thornton regain command.

Meghan Agger led the Trojans with 16 points, Olivia Shaw scored 13 and McCrum had 12.

Shannon Sanborn scored 14 points for Bonny Eagle.

NOBLE 38, KENNEBUNK 29: Amber Kelly scored 13 points and the Knights (1-2) rallied in the fourth quarter against the Rams (0-3) at South Berwick.

Noble outscored the Rams 19-6 in the fourth quarter and took the lead for good when Chandler Waterman made a 3-pointer with about six minutes left.

Waterman and Brittany Racicot each had nine points, and Racicot grabbed 13 rebounds.

Alissa Fallon scored 11 points and Maddy Kasprzak added 10 points for Kennebunk.

WINDHAM 51, BIDDEFORD 23: Meghan Gribbin scored nine of her 17 points during the second quarter as Windham (3-0) expanded a five-point lead to 15 on the way to a win over the Tigers (0-3) at Biddeford.

Stephanie Frost added 11 points.

DEERING 55, MASSABESIC 31: Ella Ramonas scored 16 points and Chelsea Saucier had 13 to lead the Rams (1-2) past the Mustangs (0-2) at Waterboro.

Audrey Hoyle scored 10 points for Massabesic.

MCAULEY 60, PORTLAND 19: Olivia Smith scored 19 points and Alexa Coulombe added 17 as the Lions (3-0) downed the visiting Bulldogs (0-3).

MT. ARARAT 46, ERSKINE ACADEMY 23: Caitlin LaFountain scored 14 points, and Mallory Nelson and Leah Hitchcock added nine points each to lead Mt. Ararat (2-1) past Erskine Academy (1-2) at South China.

Bridget Humphrey led Erskine with eight points.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 40, HYDE 24: Ruth Towne had 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Guardians (2-1) past the Phoenix (0-2) at South Berwick.

Towne scored 10 points in the second quarter and eight in the third to help Seacoast build a 13-point lead.

Kara Fischer led Hyde with 19 points.

CARRABEC 52, WISCASSET 42: Emma Plunkee had 17 points and 19 rebounds as the Cobras (1-2) beat the Redskins (0-3) at North Anson.

Jocelyn Jackson added 13 points and Jessica Vaillancourt had 10 for Carrabec.

Kayla Conners scored 16 points, Heidi Pinkham 12 and Brianna Gould 10 for Wiscasset.

MESSALONSKEE 38, LAWRENCE 26: Mary Badeen scored 13 points to lift the Eagles (3-0) past the Bulldogs (1-2) at Fairfield.

Messalonskee outscored Lawrence 11-1 in the second quarter to take a 21-7 lead.

Paige Belanger scored eight points for Lawrence.

WINSLOW 28, WATERVILLE 18: The Black Raiders (1-2) held the Purple Panthers (1-2) to two points in the fourth quarter to secure a victory at Winslow.

Elizabeth Ferry led Winslow with 12 points. Colleen O’Donnell scored eight points for Waterville.

NOKOMIS 62, MCI 14: Marissa Shaw scored 12 points to lead the Warriors (3-0) to a win at Newport.

Taylor Shaw added 10 points.
