LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon High School girls basketball team stayed close for three quarters against Boothbay in Mountain Valley Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.
But, the Seahawks outscored the Greyhounds 15- 7 in the fourth quarter to slip away for a 47-33 victory.
The win lifts Boothbay to 3- 2, while Lisbon dropped to 2-3 and visits Dirigo on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m.
The teams were tied 10-10 after a quarter, with the Seahawks pulling into a 22- 17 halftime lead. Lisbon, behind 11 points from Jessica Campbell, stayed close, trailing 32- 26 through 24 minutes.
Sarah Caron paced Boothbay with a game- high 13 points, with Alex Clark and Megan Smith chipping in nine points each.
Alexa Harmon scored nine for Lisbon, while Denise Thomas added seven points.
Postponed
The Wiscasset- Spruce Mountain girls MVC contest at Jay was postponed on Wednesday, with no makeup date announced.
