FALMOUTH — Jeremy Williams scored a goal and dished out three assists, and Eric Stuckey and Justin Grant added two goals apiece as the Mt. Ararat/ Lisbon hockey team rolled to an 8-0 Eastern A high school victory over Windham/Sacopee Valley on Saturday.

Zach Pratt, Bru Abreu and Tyler O’Connor added one goal each, and Pratt, Grant, Allan Leech, Zach Hamlin and O’Connor picked up one helper apiece.

Shauna Williams returned to the lineup after an early season injury, and along with O’Connor, provided solid defense, while Evan Tome stood out on the offensive end.

In goal, Zach O’Connor turned aside 23 shots for the shutout.

Mt. Ararat/ Lisbon is 2- 4 and slated to visit Gray-New Gloucester/Poland in Auburn tonight at 7:45 p.m.

The host Rangers jumped out to a 3-0 first-period lead en route to a victory over Brunswick in a key Eastern girls hockey contest at Falmouth Family Ice Center on Saturday.

The win gives Greely a 9-2 mark and the No. 1 spot in the East, while Brunswick dropped to 8-2-1 and fell to second behind the Rangers. The teams meet again on Jan. 21 at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

Shannon Donovan scored a goal and dished out two assists to lead Greely. Haley Taylor and Meg Finlay chipped in a goal and an assist for the hosts.

Eliza Brooks scored the lone goal for Brunswick, with an assist going to Rachel Moroney and Suzannah Smith.

“Greely answered our goal just 23 seconds later,” said Brunswick coach Bill Bodwell, whose team hosts Edward Little/Leavitt today at 4:15 p.m. at Watson Arena. “We are in a tough stretch of games right now. Greely was the strongest team we have seen so far.”

Claire Mendes turned aside 26 shots for Brunswick, while Greely netminder Emma Seymour had 13 stops.

At Watson Arena on Saturday, Tyler Niven and Matt Brooks each scored a secondperiod goal as the Dragons improved to 4-3-1.

Cam Heatley staked Brunswick to a 1-0 first-period lead, with Dylan Towle and Brooks picking up an assist. Niven scored off a face-off win by Kyle Woodruff to make it 2-0.

Cony (4-2) answered on a Spencer Buck goal, but Brooks tipped a shot by Niven past Rams netminder Matt Swan ( 23 saves) to restore Brunswick’s two-goal edge.

Ryan Maciejewski added an empty-net goal in the third period.

Jason Blier had 21 saves for the win.
