BATH — The Hyde School jayvee boys basketball team has been busy of late.
Waynflete traveled to Bath to face the Phoenix for the second time in less than a week. The teams were tied 17- 17 at halftime, but the Flyers emerged victorious, 48-37.
Evander Lenardson led Phoenix scorers with 10 points and Andrew Kraai had eight.
The Phoenix headed up to Kents Hill and lost 43- 30. Kents Hill led 26-20 at the half.
Hyde’s Wondo Shaw scored eight of his team- high 11 points in the fourth quarter.
On Tuesday, the 6-7 Phoenix visited Sacopee Valley, and led by Nabil Eshraghian, Zach Heatley and Shaw, came out strong, scoring 23 points in the first quarter en route to a 59-40 win,.
Heatley ( 13 points) and Lenardson kept the intensity high in the second quarter and the Phoenix entered halftime with a double-digit lead.
Seven different Phoenix players scored in the contest, including Herman Gao with six points. David Wu was an offensive contributor.
