BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department hosted the local Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run Competition at Edwards Field recently.
The competition groups included boys and girls ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14.
The pitching competition consistent of each participant receiving six attempts to hit the strikezone from 35- to 45- feet. The hitters hit the ball off the tee, with distance and accuracy measured, while the running saw participants timed, starting at second base, rounding third and tagging the plate.
Winners were:
Boys 7-8: All-Around champion Sam Masse; Pitch champion Sam Masse; Hit champion Sam Masse; Run champion Sam Masse.
Boys 9-10: All-Around champion Jack St. Pierre; Pitch champion Jack St. Pierre; Hit champion – Jack St. Pierre; Run champion Jack St. Pierre.
Boys Ages 11-2: All-Around champion – Jeremiah McNeil; Pitch champion Jeremiah McNeil, Zach Boyle; Hit champion Aaron Gary; Run champion Aaron Gary.
Boys Ages 13-14: All- Around champion Jacob Towle; Pitch champion Jacob Towle; Hit champion Jacob Towle; Run champion Jacob Towle.
Girls Ages 7-8: All-Around champion Blake Austin; Pitch champion Blake Austin; Hit champion Blake Austin; Run champion Blake Austin.
