TOPSHAM — The Planning Board on Tuesday unanimously approved plans for a neighborhood grocery store to be located on Middlesex Road adjacent to the current site of Rusty’s Grocery.

The board approved a site plan submitted by Priority Group LLC for the 3,200-square-foot store at 38 Middlesex

Road, to be named Rusty’s Middlesex Market. The board also granted a conditional use permit for the project, according to Town Planner Rich Roedner.

The board also reviewed sketch plans for a disc golf course at 357 Middlesex Road submitted by Kirt and Kim Weaver of Topsham. Roedner said the board felt comfortable with the proposal, and the applicants will be back for approvals at a later date.
