BATH — Drama students at University College at Bath/Brunswick will present “2 Soldiers” by Bathsheba Doran and “China,” by Scott Organ on Friday at the college on Park Street.

The college’s DRA (Drama) 151 play production class will present an open dress rehearsal at 11 a.m. Friday and a final performance at 7 p.m., both in Room 200.

Performances are free and open to the public.

The plays are both featured in Craig Lucas’ anthology, “New American Short Plays 2005,” according to a release.

“Interestingly, ‘2 Soldiers,’ a play with uncanny insight into the man’s world of battle, is written by a woman, and ‘China,’ written by a man, offer a very authentic view of the closeted enclave of a woman executive and her assistant,” director James Seymour said in the release. “As one-act plays totally independent of each other, they seem particularly well-suited when combined into one production. They also offer wonderful roles for actors.”

University College at Bath/Brunswick is located in the Midcoast Center for Higher Education, 9 Park St.
