HARPSWELL — Sharon D. Hollingshead, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 peacefully with her husband and her children by her side.
Born March 24, 1941 to George Blackwell and Phyllis (Smith) Blackwell. She was one of ten children.
July 14, 1958 she married Richard J. Hollingshead.
She attended Brunswick High School and became a homemaker. Later working in Health Tex and a cook at various local restaurants. She was well known for her cooking. The love of her family and her Church.
Survived by her husband of 54 years Richard J. Hollingshead and four children; Susan Hollingshead and husband
Chuck Goforth of Richmond, David and Pam Hollingshead of Harpswell, Richard and Deb Hollingshead of Harpswell Leon Hollingshead and partner Sherry Proctor, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers George and Dennis.
A gathering will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1:00pm at Bowdoinham Second Baptist Church, Main St. Bowdoinham.
A celebration of life to follow at her son Rick’s house, 89 Natrimac Point Road in Harpswell.
In lieu of flowers donate to Bowdoinham Second Baptist Church.
