PORTLAND — Fan voting for the 2012 Eastern League All-star game got underway on Friday.
Fans are asked to select one position player and one pitcher from their hometown team to the Eastern League All-star game.
The 2012 contest will be played at First Energy Stadium in Reading, Pa., home of the Reading Phillies, on July 11. To vote for Sea Dog players, log onto www.seadogs.com.
Eastern League All-star voting began May 25 and runs through June 24. The final Northern Division and Southern Division All-star rosters will be announced on June 28.
The Eastern League All-star game features the top players from the Northern Division facing the top players from the Southern Division.
The results from the fan voting will be used to select one position player and one pitcher from each of the 12 Eastern League clubs to the All-star roster of their respective division. Tickets are available for all 2012 Sea Dogs’ home games, and can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs ticket office at 874-9400, or online at www.seadogs.com.
