WISCASSET — Wiscasset Family Medicine recently announced that Rhonda Selvin, a family nurse practitioner, has been elected by her peers as president-elect of the Maine Nurse Practitioner Association.

According to a news release, the association is the professional organization for nurse practitioners who constitute the largest group of advancedpractice registered nurses numbering about 900 in Maine.

Selvin said, “This is such an honor, in a time of great change and need. I will continue my work in primary care and also hope to facilitate the best delivery of health and wellness care to the people of Maine. Maine is a special place in many ways. We already lead in many federal initiatives; we are small enough that individual voices, working together, can make all the difference.”
