BRUNSWICK — The Torah study group, or Havurah, initiated by Rabbi Simeon J. Maslin of Harpswell and Philadelphia 10 summers ago, will resume on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Bowdoin College’s Kanbar Hall.

The Havurah meets each Saturday morning through the summer and into the early fall and, following a brief Sabbath service, engages in critical study of biblical texts. This summer the group will conclude the books of Kings and will proceed to study several of the prophetic books.

The only requirements for participants are an interest in sacred texts and an open mind. Each member of the group is reminded to bring a copy of the Bible, preferably one of the modern translations. The Havurah is a very welcoming group, and all are welcome.

Kanbar Hall is located at the northeast corner of he Bowdoin College campus. Each session will conclude at about 11:30.
