BRUNSWICK — In recent U12 softball action, Brunswick Aspen Dental got past Harpswell, 17-10.
Both teams came into the game with bats swinging. Harpswell hit the ball well but ran into a stingy Brunswick defense.
The Harpswell offense was led by a big day from Kristen Graffam, who had three hits and four runs. Kieley Hetherington and Olivia Merryman contributed to the Harpswell attack with singles also.
Brunswick Aspen Dental got a big lift from Madeline Berry (pitching three solid innings) to slow down Harpswell.
At the plate Julia Rutherford had three hits and five RBIs and Margaret Dickinson had a single, double and three runs. Allison Eck and Autumn Thoits also chipped in with multiple hit games for the Aspen Dental squad.
