THE BRUNSWICK ROTARY CLUB unveiled a bronze plaque to mark the former site of Brunswick High School on June 8 at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School at the corner of Spring and McKeen streets in Brunswick. Several graduates from the classes of 1946 to 1983 of the old high school and Rotarians were present to witness the commemoration. Pictured from left are Chuck Mull, chairman of the Brunswick Rotary Club Pride and Heritage committee; Jean Skorapa, principal of Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School; Don Kniseley, president of the Brunswick Rotary Club; and Patty Sparks, president of the Village Heritage Society and vice president of the Brunswick High School Alumni Association. Kniseley said that the recognition was the 11th in a Brunswick Rotary Club program that was initiated in 1995. He cited each of the previous 10 historic sites and said that it took more than two years to develop the former BHS site historic recognition.
