To the editor:

The church has permitted the world — society that is — to dictate to them their moral values. That which they desire to participate in is morally wrong and they decided they want God to approve.

This will never happen! God is righteous and will never change His ways to appease man’s desires.

In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 14 verses 34 and 35, Jesus said: “Salt is good: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

Christianity is the “salt” which is to season the world. “Salt” is a preservative and shall preserve the word of God in its entirety and not compromise to make people “feel good” about their choices. If the church abandons God’s word, it has become nothing more than a social club fir only for the “dunghill.”

In John 14:6, Jesus spoke these words: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: on man cometh to the Father, but be me.”

Jesus died on the cross that all men through Him might be saved. What is Jesus’ way?

John 3:18-9 explains: “He that believeth on him (Jesus) is not condemned: but he that believeth is not condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”

We here at East Brunswick Baptist Church are not perfect. But God’s word is and we study it as it is written that we may grow in the righteousness of Jesus and be better today than we were yesterday. Come, worship and study God’s word with us and read the truth for yourself.
