New classes, events and single time programs are starting up in September. Check the online calendar at www.peopleplusmaine.org for complete listings or call the center at 729-0757. Many classes are free to members or have a very small fee. For anyone who is not a member of People Plus, now may be the time to sign up.

• Come try a one-time free demo class. Demos are always open to the public. Among the offerings are: acapella singing group with Pat Cannon; belly dancing with Josephina Gasca; Yoga Fusion with Ann Kimmage; and talking tree conversation class.

• Regular classes returning this fall include: Art I and II with Connie Bailey; Café en Francias; Computer Tutor with Jack Hudson; Course in Miracles; folk dance; Pilates with Dennis Kimmage; Laughter Club; line dancing with Janice McLaughlin; Loosen Up!, Qi Gong and Tai Chi, all with Suzanne Neveux; yoga with Ruth Vogel; and wood carving.

• One-time programs will be an Apple class; funeral options (brown bag lunch); Middle East chat session with Ed Knox; winterizing your car; and Tutors for Technology.

• Joint programs with Curtis Memorial Library feature Genealogy Get Together; Facebook Part Two! — photo sharing; I-Google series; and a fall prevention class.
