FRYEBURG — In Western Maine Conference girls soccer play on Tuesday, Freeport High School went on the road and posted a 2-1 win over Fryeburg Academy.
Julia Smith scored assisted from Emily Johnson for Freeport for a 1-0 lead.
Julia Quinn (assisted by Carla Trip) scored for Fryeburg to tie the game at the half.
Freeport took the lead in the second half on a goal by Jocelyn Davee.
Falcons goalie Aubrey Pennell has three saves, while Fryeburg goaltender Elle Burbank had seven stops.
Freeport is now 2-1 and scheduled to host Gray-New Gloucester on Thursday.

In Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action, host Brunswick allowed its first goals of the season, but improved to 4-0.
Anna Cowan led the way with four goals, while Rachel Moroney added one, with assists going to Madeline Cowan, Paige Tetu, Julia Champagne and Moroney.
Goals for Edward Little were scored by Olivia Parone, Rebecca Abel and Callie Murray.
Brunswick goaltender Haley Murano made six saves, while Edward Little’s Taylor Landry had 10 stops.
The Dragons are scheduled to visit Lewiston on Thursday.
“We played very well again, but took our foot off the gas in the last 10 minutes to allow Edward Little three goals,” said Brunswick coach Martyn Davison. “And, we need to make sure we close games out with more determination and hopefully a lesson learned for the team.”

Sadie Gosse had three assists and Amber Loon two goals to lift Richmond to an East-West Conference win over Greenville.
The Bobcats improved to 4- 0 and are set to visit Rangeley on Friday.
Emily Leavitt converted a Gosse feed with 22:46 left for the lone goal of the first half.
In the second period, Loon (Gosse) scored at 8:54, Kelsea Anair (Kayla Beaulieu) made it 3-0 with 17:41 left, Noell Acord (Gosse) scored with 7:19 remaining, and Loon scored unassisted with 52 seconds left.
Richmond held a 27-2 shots margin, with goaltender Keslie Obi making two stops and Payton Johnson, Taylor Clapp and Andra Meagher playing well in midfield.
Molly Foley had 11 saves in the loss.
