BRUNSWICK — Edith T. Libby, age 102, “Our families precious gift, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Winship Green Nursing Home in Bath.

She was born in Hyde Park, MA., June 25, 1910, the daughter of Frederick and Eva Duke Haskell and attended the local schools.

She was married to Edwin C. Libby in Islington, MA on June 27, 1932 and soon moved to Maine. Mr. Libby died in June 1996.She was a member of the Maine Street Baptist Church.

Mrs. Libby was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Morrisroe and a brother, Warren Haskell.

She is survived by two daughters, Eva M. Bernier of West Gardiner and her husband, Roger and Myrtle N. Russell of Indian Harbour Beach, FL. and her husband, Peter; a son, Wesley B. Libby of Corrina and his wife, Mildred; a sister, Gladys Mercier of South Harpswell; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

A private burial service will be held Saturday at Growstown Cemetery, Brunswick with the Rev. Dale Morell officiating.
