Trigger is live gaming on the go in the form of laser tag. The gaming guns are state-of-the-art. They look like real guns, sound like real guns, are the same size as real guns and weigh the same as real guns. They are, however, harmless, using infrared light instead of actual lasers. There are no projectiles like paintball or airsoft.

Library launches Young Women’s Book Club
Walker Memorial Library will begin hosting a new book club, Young Women’s Book Club, for young women ages 14-18 who love to read. Those interested are invited to the first meeting, Thursday, Oct. 18, from 5-6 p.m. The first book is “All These Things I’ve Done,” by Gabrielle Zevin. There will be copies available at the library shortly; feel free to stop in or call to reserve a copy.
“All These Things I’ve Done” takes place in 2083, when chocolate and coffee are illegal, paper is hard to find, water is carefully rationed, and New York City is rife with crime and poverty. And yet, for Anya Balanchine, the 16-year-old daughter of the city’s most notorious (and dead) crime boss, life is fairly routine. It consists of going to school, taking care of her siblings and her dying grandmother, trying to avoid falling in love with the new assistant D.A.’s son, and avoiding her loser ex-boyfriend. That is until her ex is accidently poisoned by the chocolate her family manufactures and the police think she’s to blame.
