
Mildred married Olen Eastman in Boothbay in 1929. Olen predeceased her in 1975. Together they had lived in Whitefield, ME, Vermont and in 1943 the moved back to Topsham and settled finally in Brunswick in 1953.
She worked at the Brunswick Dress Factory for 18 years retiring in 1972. Following retirement she continued seamstress work out of her home for several years.
Mildred, the oldest current member of the Berean Baptist Church in Brunswick was very active with the church for more than 50 years and helped out in the church nursery.
Besides her husband, Mildred was predeceased by several sisters and a brother.
She is survived by three sons; Roger and his wife Elaine Eastman of Florida, Leland and his wife Rebecca Eastman of Palmdale, CA, Earl and his wife Beverly Eastman of Topsham, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Dionne Commons and CHANS Hospice for the outstanding care Mildred received.
A memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Berean Baptist Church, Cumberland Street, Brunswick with Reverend Mark Rockwood officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Rogers Cemetery, Topsham. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
