CHILDREN play on a new swing set and playground equipment that recently was installed at the Tedford Housing Family Shelter on Federal Street in Brunswick. The new swings, bars and slides replaced older equipment that had deteriorated too much for safe use. To buy and set up the playground, Rotary International Foundation provided a grant to the shelter that was matched by local Rotary Club chapters. “When families are in such a stressful situation, having a safe and appropriate outdoor play space really means a lot,” said Craig Phillips, Tedford’s executive director.
