The new swings, bars and slides replaced older equipment that had deteriorated too much for safe use. To buy and set up the playground, Rotary International Foundation provided a grant to the shelter that was matched by local Rotary Club chapters. “When families are in such a stressful situation, having a safe and appropriate outdoor play space really means a lot,” said Craig Phillips, Tedford’s executive director.
