FREEPORT — Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park is offering nature programs daily at 2 p.m. that include walks, talks and activities free with park admission.

Programs last about one hour, weather permitting, and are suitable for children and adults.

On Saturday the park presents “Steamer Dig,” a program about the life and times of the soft-shell clam that includes the chance to dig for clams with an experienced guide. Bring mud sneakers or high boots, gloves and a clam hoe or spading fork.

On Sunday, “Ready, Set, Sleep!” shows visitors how nature prepares for winter in a program for children and adults. For more information, call 865-4465 or visit www.maine.gov/wolfesneckwoods
