Santeramo’s penalty kick goal eight minutes into the game gave Mt. Ararat a 1-0 lead, but Bangor answered on a PK by Chapin Frost with 6:26 left until halftime to tie it.

Alex Lapierre cleaned up a corner kick from Santeramo 10 minutes into the second half for the lead, and Santeramo’s goal with 2:20 left finished the scoring.

On a blustery, cold afternoon in Bath, the Hyde School boys took the field against the Wolfpack from the Hyde-Woodstock campus and were victorious.

Hyde-Bath struck first in the fifth minute, with Jamal Fazer Borden finding the back of the net unassisted. Woodstock rallied in the 25th minute to even the score at the half.

In the 48th minute, Wesley Miller found a ball in the box for the Phoenix and gave the hosts a short-lived 2-1 lead. Hyde-Woodstock tied, but Hyde-Bath reeled off three straight goals to secure the win.

Borden scored off a Wilson MacMillan feed, and completed his hat trick off a set-up from Ethan Morrow two minutes later. Miller added a late goal.

“It was a great win for the Phoenix as the trail for a New England tournament bid is starting to heat up just as the weather cools down,” said Hyde coach Tyler Plourde.

Morse goaltender Duane Tardif had one save, while Tigers netminder Ian Lane turned aside nine shots.
