To the Editor:

I support Jeremy Saxton for House District 64 because he supports public education.

Unlike his opponent, who voted against LD 1274 that provided over $1 million in additional funds to RSU 1, Jeremy will support legislation that makes quality public education possible.

Unlike his opponent, who voted in favor of LD 1866, which would have authorized vouchers diverting tax dollars to religious schools, Jeremy will work to ensure public dollars go to public education.

Recently I helped found a scholarship to support higher education for Harpswell volunteer firefighters. I appreciate the value of public education and public service to our communities. I urge you to join me in voting for Jeremy Saxton for House District 64; he understands these values, too.
