To the Editor:

This letter is written in support of Stephen F. Gorden as Cumberland County commissioner representing Harpswell, Brunswick, Freeport, North Yarmouth, Gray, New Gloucester and Pownal.

Since being elected commissioner in November 2011, Gorden has devoted much of his time and energy truly learning what the duties of a commissioner really are. His efforts on our behalf have already identified several opportunities to save taxpayer dollars while serving the county’s best interests.

Steve is a patient listener, takes his responsibilities seriously and is a forward-looking thinker in terms of what is, and will be, best for Cumberland County. With his leadership background serving large public entities and his devotion to the tasks at hand, we are fortunate to have Steve Gorden as Cumberland County commissioner.
