DAYTON (AP) — Police have arrested a Saco man they say tried to kill at least one woman before barricading himself on a Dayton property where a house and vehicle were burning.
State police say 47-year-old Donald Henson faces charges of aggravated attempted murder.
They say they’re also investigating whether Henson is connected to the house and vehicle fires on the same Goodwin Mills Road property where Henson had the fourhour standoff with police. Police say the smoke from the fires made it tough to determine Henson’s exact location during the standoff.
Police say they were called to the property at about 3:30 p.m. on report of shots fired. They say two women related to Henson escaped after the gunshots, and they’re interviewing the women to try to determine what happened.
