A day ‘we will not soon forget’
I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped in making last week’s election run as smoothly as it did.
It would not have been possible without the help of everyone coming together to get the huge amount of voters through those long lines.
To start off, I had wonderful help in the Town Office with my staff, Judy Vance and Rita Bernier, along with the ladies in Auto Registration helping to issue and accept absentee ballots. A special thank-you to
Kay Whirlwind Soldier who came in to help doing tedious duties and never complaining! I also had the pleasure of working with some high school students who came over after school to help us out and for their work they did to count toward their 40 hours of community service needed for graduation.
Also, thanks to the Windham High School staff who helped with the meals, prepping the gym floor, and to Marleen Bicknell for lending her expertise in crowd control; it was a great help.
To Dave Dickson and his crew from Town Hall who do almost anything I ask of them and with smiles on their faces and Jackie Roux for staying late, thank you! I do not want to leave out Windham Police Officers Peter Fulton and Bill Andrew who stood in the hallway directing folks to their correct voting district and the roadside emergency people who were out in the parking lot trying to keep traffic flowing; it was not an easy job.
Last, but not least, thank you to all my Election Day workers, you were fantastic! You barely had a break, you never complained and some of you put in a 17.5 hour day. It was exciting, exhausting and truly a day we will not soon forget. Thank you all so much for being the dedicated people that you are.

‘Truly an honor’
A sincere thank-you to the voters of District 110 that voted for me in last week’s election. I look forward to serving all the residents of Gray and Windham in the 126th Maine Legislature. It is truly an honor to be your chosen as your representative in Augusta for the next two years. I pledge to work to the best of my abilities to move Maine and the district in a positive direction.
A big thanks to my wife, Sandy, my treasurer, Becky, my daughter, Julie, and especially my granddaughter, Taylor. Without their help and push, I am not sure if all of the work would have been completed.
A note to my opponent, Ralph Johnston: You ran a strong, positive campaign and for that I thank you. My best wishes to you and hope you stay actively involved in the issues.
Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] with any questions or comments.

‘Truly blessed’
I wish to thank the citizens of Maine House District 103 (Raymond, Frye Island, parts Poland and Standish) for reelecting me to serve them in the 126th Maine Legislature. I feel truly blessed by your continued support.
This was my fifth election and the first time I was confronted with negative campaigning. My choice was to stick with issues and not to fire back. In retrospect, I now see that each time negativity came forward, I received more calls for signs and to offer me support.
I take this role very seriously and work very hard at it. That will not change. Perhaps the highlight of this election season for me was the voter who came through the polls in Raymond and approached my opponent, looked at me and said something like, “I almost never agree with anything he (McClellan) believes in, but he always returns my contacts immediately.” You as citizens of Maine House District 103 deserve nothing less.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime with your thoughts and issues, or to simply sign up for my communication list. God bless you all!

Thank you
Thank you to the people in Maine Senate District 12 who voted to send me to Augusta for the next two years. I worked hard to represent the residents of House District 111. I worked hard during this campaign, and I will continue this work as I represent my constituents and the people of Maine in the Senate.
Thank you to everyone who allowed me to put signs on their lawns; to those who called and asked for them and those who stopped at my house and took them to put up. I also thank my family and many friends who helped remove the signs after the election.
Thank you to the several people who drove me around to knock on doors and those who talked to me at their door, in the grocery store and at numerous events around the district.
I also appreciate that my opponent, Martin Shuer, ran a very positive campaign. While many campaigns around the state and country were very negative, the race in Senate District 12 remained positive.
I am honored to be going back to Augusta. Please feel free to contact me with your ideas and opinions.
