PORTLAND—Lillian Keating Peterson, 94, died Dec. 3 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough, surrounded by her family.

Peterson was born on Dec. 5, 1917 in Boston, Mass., and was raised in Portland. She attended Portland schools. She was predeceased by her mother, Julia Keating and a daughter, Donna L. Murphy of Portland, Ore.

Peterson is survived by a daughter, Carol Spector, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sons Kenneth, of Scarborough, and James, of Portland; nine grandchildren, Joe Spector, of Florida, Julie Spector, of Massachusetts, Cathy Ahearn and Timothy Murphy, both of Oregon, Richard Peterson, of New Gloucester, and Todd Peterson, of Portland, Stephanie Peterson Trynor, of Standish, and Melanie Peterson, of South Portland, and Cara Peterson, of Old Orchard Beach; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister, June Marston, of Saco.  

Interment will be in the springtime at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Senior Center, 287 Cumberland Avenue, Portland, Maine 04101.
