The Boot & Buckle Café in Topsham, which owner and cook Nikki Lund opened in August 2009, serves breakfast and lunch daily. Lund decorated the interior as only a true horse lover could, with exposed beams, pictures of horses, horseshoes and other horse-related items, which creates a barn-like yet homey atmosphere. The waitresses all wear large, silver belt buckles and are attentive and friendly. The food comes in large portions at a reasonable price and is all made from scratch. The pancakes and omelets get rave reviews. The Boot & Buckle Café is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located at 235 Lewiston Road (Route 196) in Topsham. The telephone number is 729-9585.
