HARPSWELL — Ulrike “Ulli” Vachon-Frisch, 65, died Dec. 11. She was born in Bad Nauheim, Germany, on Feb. 20, 1947, the daughter of Peter Frisch and Hedwig Frisch. 

She obtained her master’s degree from Germany’s Frankfurt University in English and geography. She taught German for the U.S. Army and also at a private German high school. In 1972, she met Wilferd B. Vachon Jr., a dental corps officer, and they were married in Frankfurt in 1974.

After coming to the United States in 1975, she managed her husband’s dental office in Brunswick and Bath. She also taught German for the Language Exchange in Portland and was a certified translator.

She is survived by her husband, Wilferd B. Vachon Jr., of Harpswell; a brother, Gerhard Frisch, of Wertheim, Germany; and an aunt, Tilly Jochel, also of Wertheim.
