As we near the beginning of the new year and the start of the 126th Legislature, I want to express my deep gratitude to the residents of South Portland, Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough for giving me the opportunity to serve as your state senator. It is a privilege and an honor and I will work tirelessly for you.
I met many wonderful people during the six months of my campaign and the experience was both gratifying and uplifting. I care a great deal about our cities and towns and the residents that make them such a great place to live.
Since the election, I have been meeting with local elected, municipal, and business leaders to learn more about issues of concern. Most importantly, I want to hear from you. I welcome your input, suggestions, ideas and comments. Please feel free to contact me with your thoughts or questions through email at [email protected].
I also will be holding coffee hours throughout the year, the first of which is planned for Saturday, Jan. 5, 10:30 a.m. at Frosty’s Donuts on Broadway in South Portland.
I look forward to getting to work in January with my Senate and House colleagues with the goal of getting Maine’s economy back on track. Again, I am honored to be your senator and I look forward to hearing from you any time.
Sen. Rebecca Millett
Cape Elizabeth
