TOPSHAM — Edward J. McWilliams, aged 84, passed away peacefully in his home in Topsham surrounded by family on Dec. 29th. Born August 12, 1928 in Tarrytown, NY, he is remembered as a fun loving person who loved to tell jokes. His career as a Seventhday Adventist elementary school teacher and principal provided many opportunities to positively impact the lives of others. He loved God and served Him faithfully his whole life.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn A. McWilliams, three sons, Tim, Dan and Ben and 9 grandchildren. His first-born son, Gerald, preceded him in death.

A memorial vespers service will be held on Saturday, January 5th at the Brunswick Seventh day Adventist Church at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Adventist Community Services Center c/o Brunswick SDA church or to Pine Tree Academy in Freeport.
