Police captured a Brunswick man they say had two warrants out for his arrest who ran from them when spotted by an officer near Maine and Lincoln streets.
The incident occurred at about 11:57 p.m. Friday. Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said an officer spotted David L. Lafave, 37, of 42 Pleasant St., who had two Sagadahoc County warrants for his arrest for failure to pay unpaid fines and fees.
Initially seen at Maine and Lincoln streets, Hagan said Lafave ran. Police located him a short distance away behind Town Hall Place. Then he allegedly ran again, and police found him on Cumberland Street. He was issued a summons for refusing to submit to arrest or detention.
In an unrelated incident, police responded to a domestic disturbance on Pleasant Street at 12:58 a.m. Saturday.
Hagan said a man reported a female had allegedly pushed, choked and bit him. Police arrived to find the man and woman outside the man’s Pleasant Street apartment and arrested 25-year-old Kyra J. Graffam of 16 Cushing St., Apt. 3, on charges of assault.
