BRUNSWICK — Irene C. Enrico, 85, of Harpswell Street, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born in Boston, Sept 20, 1927, the daughter of Charles Copelotti and Ida Bergonzi Copelotti.

She married Leo J. Enrico in Lexington, Massachusetts on June 20, 1950. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1945 and became employed at the Dept. of Agriculture for 5 years in Boston. She then worked for the American Trial Lawyers Association where she became Executive Director, retiring in 1973.

Mrs. Enrico moved to Maine with her husband in 1974 and was employed by the Supervisor of Shipbuilding at Bath Iron Works, until retiring in 1985. She received the Employee of the Year Award while employed at Supervisor of Shipbuilding.

She is survived by her husband Leo of Brunswick; a daughter, Linda Enrico of Marblehead, Massachusetts; two sons, Kenneth Enrico and his wife, Laura of Westford, Massachusetts and James A. Enrico and his wife, Denise of Freeport, Maine; a brother-inlaw, John Garofalo of Lexington, Massachusetts and a brother, Charles Copelotti and his partner Helen Farrell of Arlington, Massachusetts. Irene is also survived by six grandchildren, Leo Jay, Anastasia, Samuel, Joel, Taylor and Blake. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Garofalo of Lexington, Massachusetts.

Visiting hours with the family will be on Friday, February 1 from 5 to 7 pm at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick, Maine.

There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Charles Church, All Saints Parish, 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick, Maine, February 2 at 11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 U.S. Route 1, #1, Scarborough, ME 04074.
