BRUNSWICK — Mildred Viola Bradstreet, 96, “Millie” of 467 Woodside Road, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Dionne Commons.

She was born in Blaine, February 2, 1917, the daughter of Lyle and Annie Van Tassell Beals. She graduated from Aroostook Central Institute with a coveted (honor Essay) in 1935, and from Zion Bible Institute with a major in Christian Education in 1938.

She was married to Rev. Hanford R. Bradstreet, August 22, 1940 and worked side by side in evangelism and pastoral ministries in Bellows Falls, VT, Brunswick, ME, Manchester, NH and Exeter, ME. After retiring on Maquoit Bay in 1982, they continued ministering in several capacities. Millie was a charter board member of Gospel Light Fellowship, West Bath, where she served in nursing home, daycare, and visitation outreaches.

Millie loved to sew, and craft as well as making baby quilts for Parkview Hospital.

Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by two brothers, Otis and Eugene Beals; two sisters, Doris Terrell and Phyllis Beals and a granddaughter Darlene Rochelle Dutton.

She is survived by two daughters, Tavia Loree Dutton and her husband Dr. Barry W. Dutton of Topsham, ME and Tonya Rochelle Bielak and her husband Waldemar T. Bielak of Stroudsburg, PA. Three grandchildren, Barry Dutton and wife Kathy, Tammy Sowers and husband Jack, and Lauren Smurda and her husband Dr. Marcus Smurda, three great grandchildren, Keagan, Maxwell and Reagan, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-7 pm Saturday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. A celebration of life will be held at 3 pm Sunday at Gospel Light Fellowship, 412 State Road, Bath 04530 with the Reverends Arden and Brenda Cross officiating. Interment will be in Maquoit Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory, may be made to Gospel Light Fellowship.
