FREEPORT (AP) — A Freeport man injured in a snowmobile accident was upgraded from “critical” to “fair” condition this morning.

The Maine Warden Service said Robin Lowell, 56, was injured Friday night in Johnson Mountain Township in Somerset County. Lowell went off the trail and struck multiple trees.

He was driven seven miles by snowmobile to a lodge in Parlin Pond Township before being flown to a Lewiston hospital. A Central Maine Medical Center spokesperson confirmed his condition today.
