BRUNSWICK — Howard H. Storer, 88, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. Born in Brunswick, Maine to John G. and Alta M. Wilson Storer.

He attended Brunswick schools and graduated from Brunswick HS in 1942 and the University of Maine in 1949, with a BS in Business. He served in the Air Transport Command Army Air Corps in WWII as a radio operator on C47’s and C54’s in the Pacific. He was employed by the Railway Express in Brunswick (1950- 1951); Armour & Co of Springfield, MA and London, CT (1952-1953); Libby, McNeil (1953-1967); H.C. Baxter & Bro in Brunswick (1967-1979); A.L. Steward & Sons in Falmouth (1979-1986); Parker-Tilton, Inc, Scarborough to retirement.

Howard lived in Brunswick until 1981 when he and his wife built a home in Arrowsic. In 1999 they moved to Topsham and their final move was to the Westrun House in Topsham which they both enjoyed. Howard and his wife traveled extensively, including all fifty states at least once. He was nationally recognized for some of his travel photographs.

His first wife died in 1960. He married Elizabeth F. Purinton in June 1969.

He is survived by six step daughters — Penelope Jayne Cary (Saco), Dawn E. Thibodeau (Levant), Gail P. White (Orono), Kelsey E. Purinton (Lisbon), Mary P. Bennett (Abbot), Stacey P. Mathieu (Bath), and daughter in law, Jume Storer (Brunswick); 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brunswick United Methodist Church, 320 Church Rd., Brunswick.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
