FREEPORT – Detectives from the Freeport, Brunswick, and Yarmouth police departments arrested Freeport resident Willis Jordan at his Litchfield Road home on April 10 in connection with a string of burglaries that targeted businesses in the three towns.

According to the Freeport Police Department, Jordan has an extensive history of theft and burglary offenses.

When Jordan was arrested, the detectives noticed items connected to the burglaries at the residence, police said. The residence remained off limits to its residents until the search warrant was drafted and approved by a judge at the West Bath District Court. As a result of the search, items from burglaries in all three communities were located.

Jordan is at the Cumberland County Jail awaiting arraignment.
