Parades and observations honoring America’s war dead will take place from Scarborough to Bath on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. Here is a roundup of events throughout the area:

Bath

Light refreshments at American Legion Hall, 200 Congress Ave., 7 a.m.; services at Oak Grove Cemetery, 8 a.m.; ceremony at Waterfront Park, 9:30 a.m.; parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at American Legion Hall, goes along Centre and Front streets, and finishes at Library Park at the corner of Front and Summer streets around 11:30 a.m.

Brunswick, Topsham

Observance begins at Monument Place, Topsham, 8:30 a.m.; parade leaves at 9 a.m., heading to Brunswick, where it ends with another observance.

Cape Elizabeth

Parade begins at Route 77 intersection with Old Ocean House and Fowler roads, 9 a.m.; parade route is north on Route 77 to Scott Dyer Road and concludes with a ceremony at the War Veterans Memorial. Parade will be held unless “it is pouring rain.”

Falmouth

Parade starts at the American Legion Post, 65 Depot Road, at 10 a.m. and proceeds to Pine Grove Park on Foreside Road. Performances by the Falmouth Middle School and Falmouth High School bands and choruses. Refreshments will be served on the lawn of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Harpswell

Observances begin with wreath-tossing ceremony at Ewing Narrows Bridge, 10 a.m.; parade begins at 11 a.m. on Lookout Point Road.

Portland

Parade starts at Longfellow Square at 10:30 a.m. and heads down Congress Street to Monument Square, where a memorial ceremony will place.

Scarborough

Parade begins at Scarborough High School, 10 a.m., and follows Route 114 to U.S. Route 1, south to Manson Libby Road; ceremony at American Legion Libby-Mitchell Post No. 76, 11 a.m.

South Portland

Parade begins at Southern Maine Community College, 10:30 a.m, and follows Broadway west to Service Monument in Mill Creek Park for a memorial ceremony.
