RANGELEY — Jamie Plummer tossed a two-hit shutout, and the undefeated Bobcats scored four runs in the fourth inning for a 5-0 East-West Conference win over Rangeley on Monday in make-up action.

Noell Acord and Payton Johnson each singled twice, with Johnson picking up two RBIs and Acord one for the Bobcats, 13-0 and scheduled to visit Sacopee Valley today.

Plummer struck out seven and walked one.

Taylor Esty doubled for Rangeley (6-6). Esty struck out nine, walked four and allowed seven hits on the mound.

MORSE 1

Belfast scored a run each in the first and fifth innings en route to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over the Shipbuilders on Monday.

Morse (2-12), outhit 8-3, is scheduled to host Nokomis today.

Belfast (6-8) pitcher Ashley Littlefield had eight strikeouts and no walks, while Morse’s Jacelyn McNeill struck out three and didn’t walk a batter.

Katrina Lapham and Mariah Sturgis had two singles each, while Morse’s Nichole Laggan, Megan Hixon and Neisa Ryder each singled.

“Morse played a much better game defensively,” said Morse coach Will Laffely. “Cut down on our errors by two-thirds on our average game.”

In Mountain Valley Conference play on Monday, Cami Denney and Katelyn Olsen teamed up on a five-hitter.

Lisbon fell to 3-10 and closes out the regular season Friday at Mountain Valley.

Denney scattered four hits and two walks over the first six innings to pick up the win. Olsen finished the game, giving up the lone Lisbon run on one hit.

Britney Ellis led the Cougars with two RBIs, while Megan Bradbury also drove in a run.

Kailyn Hill hit a home run for the Greyhounds, while Olivia Harrington had two hits.

FRYEBURG 3

In Western Maine Conference action on Monday, Sarah Harriman struck out 13 as Fryeburg Academy improved to 14-1 and Freeport slipped to 5-10.

The Falcons close out the regular season Thursday at Poland.

Necole Harrison had a double in the seventh to break up Harriman’s no-hit bid. She eventually scored on a single by Leigh Wyman.
