BRUNSWICK — Brunswick High School senior Jamie Ross set a school record in the 800-meter run, while competing in the 68th annual New England Interscholastic Track and Field Championships Saturday at New Britain, Conn.
Ross was timed in 1:55.16, bettering his old mark of 1:55.99, which he set in the State Class A Championships last week at Brewer High School.
Also in the NE meet were Freeport’s Lexi Dietrich in the 20 (26th, 26.94), Kelsey Grant in the 100 hurdles (28th 17.29) and Harrison Stivers in the 800 (26th, 2:02.58) and 400 (22nd, 50.74).
Lisbon’s Kayla Angelico competed in the javelin and place 33rd with a heave of 92- 00, while the Lisbon girls 4 x 800 of Angelico, Adrianna White, Bree Sautter and Olivia Bulgin took 25th in 10:19.37.
