Patricia B. (Bernard) York, born March 7, 1930 in South Freeport, Me, to Marjorie Woodrow and George Bernard. Pat attended the Freeport schools and graduated Freeport High School in 1948.

She greatly enjoyed attending her class reunions and keeping close touch with childhood friends over the years. Pat married Stanley York from Pownal and happily spent her life as a homemaker and raising their three children — Helen, Stanley Junior (Kim) and Kevin, all deceased. Pat resided in Hampton, NH with her family until the early 1990s before returning to Maine and then moving to Florida, where she lived for several years until moving to Lewiston, Me where she died peacefully on July 2, 2013.

Pat leaves two surviving sisters, Barbara Percy of Marblehead, Ma and Carol Whitmer of Tampa, Fl. Her predeceased brothers and sisters are George Jr., Anne, Louis, Richard, and Miriam.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including her niece Sue Rowe, who lovingly cared for Pat throughout the remainder of her life in Lewiston. Pat also leaves her only grandchild, Caitlin Hurd of CT, daughter of Helen and James Hurd, whom she loved and was very proud of.

Pat’s family would like to thank all of the L/A Kidney Dialysis Center staff, where she was treated three times a week, and all of the wonderful staff from the Montello Manor for their dedicated love and care.

At Pat’s request, there will be a private service where she will be laid to rest with her family in Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the L/A Kidney Center at 710 Maine St., Lewiston, Me 04240.
