BRUNSWICK — Raymond R. St. Pierre, 76, of Brunswick, Maine, died peacefully in his lifelong home surrounded by family on July 19, 2013.

He is the son of the late Auguste St. Pierre and Alice Guinard, and was predeceased by his sisters Theresa Dangler, Connie Labbe, and Louise Caron. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bessie St. Pierre. He is also survived by his eldest son, Jim St. Pierre and his wife Gail, and their daughter Abrielle. In addition, he is survived by his youngest son Randy St. Pierre and his wife Lisa, and their daughters Aleicia and Jacklyn Estey.

Raymond retired from the Brunswick and Topsham Water District after 25 years of service in 1992, he was the Sexton at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in the late 1980’s, and also served as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Brunswick Fire Department for many years. He was a diehard fan of the New York football Giants, rarely missed a game, and was fortunate to have attended two preseason games in his lifetime. He was also deeply fond of the Moosehead region of Maine where his sister Louise and her husband had a summer camp, which Raymond had the opportunity to help build.

 

 

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 – 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 24, at the Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing Street in Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Pleasant Street in Brunswick. Raymond will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his sense of humor, and his dedication and loyalty to his family. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him well.
