Dianne Bernier Sauvé, 71, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2013, in Phoenix, AZ.

Born in Brunswick, ME in 1942, she had made her home in Phoenix, AZ since 1995. A graduate of the class of 1960 from Brunswick High, Dianne obtained her Associate of Science degree in nursing from Westbrook College in 1982, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire in 1989 and her Masters in Nursing and Certificate in Nurse Midwifery from Emory University in 1993. As a recipient of a National Health Services award she participated in a full scope Nurse-Midwifery practice in Eastern North Carolina through 1994.

In 1995 she practiced her passion in Nurse-Midwifery at Phoenix Memorial Hospital until she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002.

She is survived by her husband of 50 plus years James R., son James A. and granddaughter, Bethany, of Sedona, AZ, daughters Alice and grandson, Joseph Curtis, of Jacksonville Beach, FL., and Amy Garfield of Key West, FL. Surviving also is her brother Ronald J. Bernier of Brunswick, ME and sister Margaret Fortin of Topsham, ME.

Her hobbies included reading, knitting, and needlepoint.
