AUBURN (AP) — A judge is now deciding whether a 23- year-old Lewiston man is competent to stand trial on arson charges.

Bryan Wood is one of two men accused of setting a fire in May that destroyed three apartment buildings in the city.

The Sun Journal reports that three psychologists who evaluated Wood said in Androscoggin County Superior Court on Thursday that the defendant appeared to lack the necessary reasoning skills to stand trial.
