SCARBOROUGH (AP) — Police say a pit crew member has been killed in an accident at a southern Maine racetrack after the car races were done for the night.
Scarborough police say 47- year-old Gregory Rowe of Standish was killed when he fell off the back of a pickup truck and was run over by a trailer in tow. The accident happened at Beach Ridge Motor Speedway late Saturday night after races were completed for the night.
Rowe was a member of a pit crew during the race.
