SCARBOROUGH — Runners, riders and walkers are invited to register for the first Robbie Foundation Race and Walk, taking place at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 14 at Back Cove in Portland.
The combined 5k run and walk, and fun run for children, will raise money for the nonprofit Robbie Foundation, which provides adaptive equipment and other assistance to families with special needs children.
The Scarborough foundation was established in 2010 by Robert and Lynn Gierie, whose son Robbie has cerebral palsy.
Online registration is $15; race-day registration from 6:45-8:25 a.m. is $20.
