THE DRIVER sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mid Coast Hospital after his tractor-trailer rolled over on U.S. Route 1 southbound near Cooks Corner at around 6 a.m. today. Traffic was reduced to one lane. Maine Department of Transportation was on scene and was preparing to remove the guardrail so the truck could be removed by Hunter’s Truck and Tire Service of Lisbon Falls. Maine State Police on scene said the 53-foot box trailer was carrying only cardboard, but that 50 to 70 gallons of gasoline had spilled from a tank split open during the crash. Lane closures were ongoing this morning.
